Warwick HRI has announced the appointment of two new business managers.

The horticultural research body, part of Warwick University, has appointed Susan Norton to Warwick HRI Kirton as enterprise hub manager.

Her role will be to promote the organisation’s in the East Midlands area and develop Kirton’s wide ranging knowledge transfer activities.

Dr Gordon Hanks, Kirton Research Centre Manager, welcomed the appointment. “Kirton is a regional centre of excellence for horticultural R&D and Susan will develop our existing partnerships to build a strong, commercial R&D capability.”

Meanwhile, Dr Nicholas Housby is set to join Warwick HRI, on October 1, as business development manager, with responsibility for developing business opportunities and marketing.

Professor Simon Bright, director with Warwick HRI, said: “I am delighted that Nick will be joining the organisation to build on our reputation as a provider of academic excellence.”
