The Greenery has made a new senior appointment to further strengthen the management of its growing UK operation.
Kevin Doran will take over from Martin Brown as head of The Greenery UK's operations in the UK, based at the company’s offices in Huntingdon. Reporting to Leon Bol, director sales of The Greenery, Doran will focus on developing and strengthening The Greenery’s position within the UK market, aiming to further develop its reputation for category management and creating added value. Brown will be staying on in the business until the early autumn to ensure a full and proper handover.
Doran has been senior vice-president of marketing at the Clearly Canadian Beverage Corporation, a leading North American manufacturer of alternative beverages and natural and organic snack foods. More recently he has been employed at Canadian organisations BC Hothouse and Houweling Nurseries Ltd, both of which are leading international producers of tomatoes, capsicums and cucumbers.
Bol said: “The Greenery has appointed Kevin Doran because of his extensive product knowledge and years of experience in the fruit and vegetables sector. The Greenery values his knowledge of marketing and branding in the international fruit and vegetable business.
“He will build on the excellent work already accomplished by Greenery UK managing director Martin Brown and his team in building our British operations to the stage where we now supply almost all the major UK supermarkets with fresh produce.”
