Three new training providers have joined the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink Manufacturing.
Harper Adams University College, Otley College and Midland Group Training Services (MGTS) have been approved as National Skills Academy network members after submitting applications earlier this year.
Each of the latest approved providers will focus on a particular specialism under the academy’s name. Shropshire-based Harper Adams joins the regional and rural network, while Suffolk-based Otley College becomes a member of the general food and drink network. Coventry training organisation MGTS has joined the engineering maintenance network.
The skills academy’s executive director Justine Fosh said: “We seek the very best training providers to join the National Skills Academy to raise standards and employee skills across the board in the sector.
"Membership of the academy acknowledges the extremely high quality of the training provisions and facilities each provider has to offer employers. We aim to reach out to as many employees as possible, working in all sectors of food and drink manufacturing, which is why we look to attract training providers with different specialisms and which are leaders in their field.”
