Nairobi is set to host a major African conference covering the challenges and opportunities the horticulture sector faces.

The four-day Kenyan conference will host more than 300 delegates from all over the world from August 31 at Safari Park Hotel, reports the Daily Nation.

Kenya Agricultural Research Institute director Ephraim Mukisir said: “The congress will be a major forum for exchange of information on promoting horticultural development international forums.”

Exhibitions and field visits aimed at bringing together both the public and private organisations involved in horticulture will feature during the meeting.

The social elements of the industry will be discussed alongside the business challenges it faces.
