MVS Food Services Ltd has ceased trading.
The East Peckham, Kent-based company stopped trading on 14 January, with administrators FRP Advisory LLP subsequently appointed.
The business was run by director Hannes Martin. A new business under the name Unifresh Foodservices Ltd was incorporated at Companies House on 17 January, with an address registered to King’s Hill in Kent and Martin named as a director.
Martin told FPJ: "In order to facilitate trading under the entity Unifresh Foodservices Ltd, Unifresh purchased the MVS trade name, goodwill and all assets to the value of £45,000 from MVS Food Services."
MVS was established in 2007 as a supplier of grapes, lemons and oranges to the foodservice market. Its website describes the company as “procuring direct from source, which means that we can provide the most competitive cost chain from which both supplier and customer benefits”.
Unifresh is also specialising in grape, citrus and apple supply direct from source to the UK foodservice sector.
