Food and farming software and quality control company Muddy Boots has appointed experienced industry figure Mark Taylor as non-executive chairman.
Taylor’s remit will include the development of operational direction and resources.
He joins Muddy Boots in addition to the senior roles he holds in the consumer food and drink sector, including non-executive director of Zenith International Consulting.
Managing director of Muddy Boots Jonathan Evans said the appointment comes at a key and exciting time for the business.
He said: “In his role as chairman, Mark will support the business by providing an objective perspective on our strategy, performance and resources, helping the business gain further success. We look forward to developing a sound working relationship with him.”
Taylor’s previous roles include director at Dairy Crest and executive director at Northern Foods and Wessex Dairies. He brings a wealth of experience from senior positions in commercial, marketing, procurement and operational areas.
He is a fellow of the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) 100 Club and a past chairman of HRH the Prince of Wales Rural Action Programme, Dairy Group.
Taylor said the company has the capability to evolve rapidly and respond to new opportunities.
