Sainsbury's and its organic fruit supplier Chingford/Sunmark are enhancing their Mr Men & Little Miss pre-pack fruit offer with a free gift. For a limited period timed to link with Christmas sales, each bag of character licensed organic apples will also contain a free Mr Men & Little Miss story tape.
The full range of organic fruit available in more than 300 stores since last month also features grapes, kiwifruit, soft citrus, bananas and pears. And to increase appeal and encourage repeat purchase, each pack has a label booklet and a concealed peel-and-collect sticker. There are 24 different collectable stickers and the opportunity to send for a wall-chart poster to display the stickers.
The labels, point of sale material and packaging were specially developed by Leading Edge Labels. The company, an award-winner in its field, has also planned the offer incorporating 24 different characters in such a way that the duplication of stickers is avoided when further products are purchased. Chingford/Sunmark and Sainsbury's now plan to roll out the offer to include more than 80 different characters.
