Netherlands-based certification body MPS is adding a new quality assurance label for the nursery stock industry to its portfolio.
From September 1, the existing label Qualitree will become MPS-Qualitree.
Part of MPS TOP-certificate programme - MPS Florimark production - MPS-Qualitree includes consideration of environmental, social, quality and retail requirements.
According to MPS, the benefits of the programme include understanding and control over business processes, visible improvement of a company’s level of quality, added value, and a strengthening of its image by demonstrating to customers that it is a reliable partner.
One of the requirements of the certification is that nursery stock companies provide their customers with clear and reliable information along with the products they sell and includes a customer satisfaction survey.
