Morrisons has slashed some of its prices to offer customers an Easter lunch to remember.

The Easter Meal Deal, which consists of a turkey dinner and strawberry trifle, features 1kg of new potatoes from the UK for 70p, down from £1, and garden peas at 50p for 400g.

Martyn Jones, Morrisons group trading director, said: “This is another great deal, offering a real saving on popular Sunday lunch items which we know our shoppers buy every week.

“With eating in more popular than ever, we hope everyone can enjoy a lovely dinner spent with family this bank holiday weekend.

“Our 10 million customers know they can count on simple, straightforward value every time they shop at Morrisons. We run our seasonal deals for a whole week so all of our customers can benefit, not just those shopping at the weekend."

Morrisons is offering the lunch for £9 from April 6-10.
