Morocco has been chosen as the partner country for Fruit Logistica 2008.
The north African country is planning its biggest-ever presence at the trade show, which will take place in Berlin from 7-9 February.
Moroccan exhibitors have been present at the event since 2000, but at next year’s show the country will provide the cultural and gastronomic background for the reception following the opening ceremony.
Morocco’s minister of agriculture is expected to be on hand for the three-day trade exhibition and will be a guest speaker at the opening event.
Ali El Alaoui, secretary general of the Moroccan Export Promotion Centre (CMPE), emphasised the importance of partner country status at Fruit Logistica: “The world’s leading trade fair for fruit and vegetable marketing enables us to present our rich agricultural potential within the framework of a global market overview in Berlin. As a fresh produce supplier, Morocco can take advantage of this excellent opportunity to showcase its products in German and international markets.”
