Mediterranean traders head to Medfel

European suppliers and investors are gearing up for the inaugural Medfel trade show in Perpignan next month.

The new event claims to be “the first fruit and vegetable international business fair of the EuroMediterranean area”, and hopes to attract around 6,000 visitors with 350 exhibitors signed up.

The event will also host a number of wide-ranging debates tackling port flow, supply chain optimisation, water issues and Mediterranean free trade.

The trade fair will run alongside a B2B meeting service established using the event’s online facility to set up meetings during Medfel.

Medfel will be inaugurated on April 28 by Georges Fréche, president of the Languedoc-Roussillon Region.

Europech, the annual meeting for the last 20 years of European stonefruit producersand distributors, will also take place simultaneously.

Medfel will run on April 28-30 at the Parc des Expositions in Perpignan, southern France.
