Two of the main protagonists in the high-profile Fyffes’ insider trading case against DCC are to take centre stage in Dublin’s High Court over the coming weeks.
Neil McCann, ex-Fyffes chairman, is set to appear next week to give evidence surrounding the controversial disposal of 31 million shares in Fyffes by DCC in February 2000. He is expected to be the last witness called by Fyffes.
Following him into the witness box will be DCC chief executive, Jim Flavin, who is the first witness to be called by the defence.
Fyffes alleged Flavin and DCC were guilty of insider dealing when the 10 per cent stake in the fruit company was sold five years ago.
