The face of fresh produce packaging is set to change this month as MARKEM demonstrate a computer system for coding efficiency.

The exhibit, to be held at the PPMA 2003 exhibition, shows retailers how to achieve coding control through the use of SmartDate coders. Experts will also demonstrate flow wrapping, bagging and labelling on range of packaging devices.

Secure system software is said to prevent human error and attempted misuse. Systems integration manager Leigh Shaw said: "Coding integrity can be achieved across a range of existing digital coders. We provide complete, secure and resilient solutions to meet the needs of any retail supplier."

The exhibition takes place at the NEC, Birmingham from September 23 to 25.
