Maritime Foods has launched the Carolina Sun sweet potato brand into the convenience market with the introduction of a “rapid cook” line.
The new development sees hand-selected potatoes enveloped in a contained
microwaveable film that allows the potato to steam while cooking, with no need to wash or prepare the product.
David Cooke, commercial manger at Maritime Foods Ltd, said: “Since it’s introduction into the UK market, Carolina Sun has gone from strength to strength, making it one of the recognisable brands within the fresh produce category.

Carolina Sun “rapid cook” sweet potatoes are available nationwide priced at 65p each.
