Marco has upgraded its TRAC-IT Yield Control Module (YCM) software to reduce giveaway in punnet packing drastically and help automatically ensure the right weight.
It has also developed further its Line Control Module (LCM) to allow full transparency and help suppliers respond quickly to retailers’ demands, avoiding possible fines.
The YCS virtually eradicates giveaway by ensuring pack consistency and attaining the optimum weight, and automatically logs all weight and downtime and information.
The LCM guarantees only correctly labelled packs leave the packhouse, with the correct label and date code. This removes the risk of expensive returns from the retailer to the packer occurring.
Marketing director Mandy Hart told freshinfo: “The Yield Control Module works in a way which means you cannot overpack or underpack - it is about efficient, precision performance. Both systems use the latest management data so you can look at handlers’ performance and make sure every punnet has the right product at the right weight.”
