Prophet software has been selected by the Manorfresh Ltd, the company that was born of the merger between Geest QV Ltd and DGM Growers, both major suppliers of potatoes to Marks & Spencer plc.
Manorfresh, based at Manor Farm, Holbeach Hurn (the former Geest QV site), is now using Prophet for its combined potato businesses and will also be using the software for supply of its fresh vegetables - both conventional and organic - in the near future.
The two business combined will have a turnover of £50 million a year. Nigel Baker, at Manorfresh, told FPJ: “We chose Prophet because we needed to bring the merger about in double quick time and we needed to know that we had a software system that could do everything that was required now, out of the box.”
