Sun City, South Africa will play host to the VIIIth International Mango Symposium on February 5-10, 2006.
Event Dynamics Africa is taking on the organization on behalf of the South African Mango Growers Association, Samga, and the International Society of Horticultural Sciences.
A range of topics are scheduled to be addressed at the six-day meeting including pesticides residues, pest and diseases, breeding and selection, grower practices, tree manipulation, pruning, nursery practices, pre-harvest physiology, post-harvest practices, nutrition and irrigation, marketing, post-harvest physiology and processing.
The symposium is only held every three to four years under the auspices of the ISHS and a truly global audience of mango growers, agronomists and researchers is expected to attend.
