Marks and Spencer’s fruit buyer will give insight into the fresh-cut opportunities available in the industry at Freshconex Congress in Berlin, Germany.
Bill Davies, fruit buyer for M&S, will be explaining to delegates from all over the world how one of the UK’s most innovative food retailers has developed a reputation for unparalleled quality and product development in the fresh-cut convenience sector.
Freshconex Congress, which takes place on February 6, focuses on the fresh-cut convenience sector and precedes Freshconex, Europe’s first trade fair dedicated to this sector, which is part of Fruit Logistica.
Davies will form part of a top-level panel at Freshconex Congress, which will be discussing how to add more value at all points in the fresh-cut convenience supply chain.
Also speaking will be Ed Garner, research director at TNS Worldpanel, who will be presenting and analysing the latest numbers on fresh-cut convenience sales at retail in key markets in Europe including the UK, Benelux, Germany and France.
And Dean McKenna, supply chain diirector for McDonald's UK, will address the demands on fresh-cut suppliers to foodservice companies and offer an insight into what McDonald's sees in the future for this sector.
