M&S launches seedless pepper

Seedless capsicum has gone on sale in the UK for the first time this week.

Melrow Salads is supplying sweet-tasting Angello, developed by Syngenta over 15 years to Marks & Spencer stores.

Billed as an extra crunchy snacking pepper, Angello has a 25 per cent higher brix level than standard seeded varieties. It is grown in Spain, Israel and the Netherlands to give year round supply.

The new product is offered in 100g packs at £1.79.
