The Worshipful Company of Fruiterers, in association with the Mack Group, has launched a fruit basket website. The livery company will receive 10 per cent of revenue for charitable works supporting the homeless.
A basket is priced at £44.95, and obtainable at fruit-baskets.co.uk or by phoning 0845 600 8417.
Each will include pineapple, melon, mango, plums, red and green seedless grape, easy peelers, apples, bananas, kiwi-fruit and nectarines. Content will vary depending on season.
The baskets are being made up by Mack Service based near Southampton, which already supplies some major retail customers. It will offer next-day delivery using a national network for orders received before mid-day.
