Fresca Group has appointed one of its top bosses at Mack Multiples to a high-level group role.
Andrew Sharp has been appointed as group technical director, moving from his current role running the recently-established top-fruit business at Mack Multiples.
Sharp’s experience includes several senior technical roles with a number of major retailers. Before joining Mack Multiples in 2006, he was technical manager for produce at Marks and Spencer.
“Fresca is now a very diverse group of businesses covering a wide range of customers and products. Our investment in new technology and varietal development continues apace and the time is right to make this new senior appointment to bring together and promote the considerable technical expertise that already exists within our businesses,” group chairman Christopher Mack said.
A key element of Sharp’s new responsibilities will include developing the technical team at all levels across the business.
Mack added: “We are fortunate to have probably the best qualified person to fill this position already within our business… He has enormous experience of a wide range of products and growing across the world.”
Across the business, the technical teams will continue to work in the same roles.
