Italian horticultural trade fair Macfrut will take place in “city of fruit” Cesena, Italy, April 26-28.
The fair is billed as a meeting point for those involved in import and export, as well as producers, marketers and equipment manufacturers, that gives a bird’s eye view of the sector.
More than 20,000 visitors attended the 2006 event, with 20 per cent of visitors coming from outside Italy, according to its organisers.
The 2007 event will open its doors in the heart of the Romagna region.
The Italian Minister of Agriculture recently named Macfrut alongside Vinitaly and Cibus as one of the three trade fairs that will represent Italy around the world this year.
The trade show, which established an international office in 2006 in order to co-ordinate activities for this year, has assembled a DVD available in English, French and Arabic.
