Food researcher Campden BRI has announced Lord Krebs was elected as president at its agm last week. A behavioural ecologist and fellow of the Royal Society, he is a former chair of the Food Standards Agency and is principal of Jesus College, Oxford. He succeeds The Lord Plumb of Coleshill who held the title from 1998. Commenting on his election, Lord Krebs said: “It is an honour and pleasure to take over from Lord Plumb as President of Campden BRI. I am really looking forward to getting to know the staff and members of Campden BRI, and to learning about the science and technology put to practical use in underpinning so many aspects of food and drink production - nationally and internationally.”
