Macfrut, one of the leading fresh produce exhibitions in Mediterranean Europe, will turn the spotlight on transport and technology for its 2009 edition.

The exhibition provides a complete overview of the sector, featuring sections on technology, seed and organic productions in the Mediterranean area, agricultural food transport and logistics, packaging and ready-to-eat vegetables.

Furthermore, Macfrut is also an important international event due to its congress, which this year will be split into four sections - scientific, institutional, trade and a worldwide forum on regional trade.

During the exhibition, guided tours to companies will be organised for foreign visitors, including one for technologies and another for production to allow networking and site visits.

Incoming buyers and foreign trade professionals will have scheduled meetings organised, with a special focus on South American countries and countries from the Mediterranean basin.

The exhibition takes place from October 7-9 in northern Italy.
