Locally grown and packed Pembrokeshire new potatoes will be available to customers of Pembroke Dock Asda this spring.
The potatoes are available in the Pembroke Dock store within an hour of being packed. Other Welsh Asda stores will have Pembrokeshire new potatoes on their shelves the next day.
Martin Cocks of Puffin Produce, the only potato packhouse in Wales and part-owned by Asda supplier Fenmarc Produce, said: “Our customers look forward to the taste of new potatoes as summer is on its way, so it’s important that we can supply them as soon as possible.”
Asda marketing manager Breda Jones said: “We’ve seen great success and growth from locally produced potatoes in Welsh stores.”
