Loadhog has become a British green champion on winning the Paper and Packaging section of the National Green Apple Environmental Awards.

The environmental solution for storage and distribution packaging intends to eliminate thousands of tonnes of strapping and shrink wrapping, which is used to secure loads to any standard wooden or plastic pallets by replacing them with a lightweight lid.

Simon de Jaeghere, Loadhog's sales and marketing manager, said: "We are thrilled that the judges have recognised that Loadhog will bring many environmental benefits to the packaging and logistic sectors."

It is Loadhog's second award this month. At the IGD Food Industry Awards, Loadhog won the Environmental Packaging Design Award.
