St Nicholas Court Farms is helping Tesco promote the ‘buy local’ message to customers this Christmas, with a special event to be held at Tesco Extra in Broadstairs on December 19.

The company’s growers, who feature in its ‘Local Heroes’ advertising campaign, will make a guest appearance in store during the ‘Taste of Christmas’ event, which will include cookery demonstrations by Kent-based MasterChef winner Peter Bayless, as well as displays, children’s games and carol singers.

Youngsters from St Nicholas’ Primary School in Thanet will also present the results of their recent potato-growing project, organised by St Nicholas Court Farms and Tesco.

Nick Tapp, managing director of St Nicholas Court Farms, said: “Our ‘Local Heroes’ campaign has been extremely successful in terms of reinforcing brand awareness and promoting the benefits of buying local produce. This event offers us a great opportunity to help Tesco get the ‘buy local’ message across.

St Nicholas Court Farms is the only supplier in the South East to have branded products sold in Tesco’s Kent stores.
