The first phase deployment of Anglia Business Solutions LINKFresh® suite has gone live at the British & Brazilian subsidiary of the Produce World Group.

The British and Brazilian supply chain solution incorporates finance, planning, live inventory management, quality control, packhouse management, manufacturing and business intelligence modules.

ABS said that the initial application was deployed to timescale and within budget. “It is a highly sophisticated but relatively easy to use end to end Dynamics NAV based supply chain system,” said a statement. “The combination of the LINKFresh core functionality and state of the art integrated mobility technology provides real time access to product information dynamically as it moves through the entire supply chain.”

Commenting on the project, Produce World’s ceo William Burgess said: “As part of our growth strategy, we needed a world class IT solution to assist us in managing both our expansion and our existing operations. The Anglia team, working in partnership with our excellent staff, is delivering just that. Our LINKFresh system should in time provide us with a significant commercial advantage by helping us to operate more efficiently while expanding to realise our potential.”

Group finance director Ian Batkin added: “We are very pleased with our first implementation. We chose the Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform as it is the world’s leading mid range ERP system that is widely used within the food industry. Anglia’s fresh produce expertise and LINKFresh suite meant that they were the ideal partner choice.

“The deployed solution if anything exceeded our expectations. The degree of seamless integration between the various operations is impressive. We now have a completely paperless pack house with full visibility of all operations. We believe that our LINKFresh solution sets new standards of IT excellence within the industry.”

“The Produce World LINKFresh deployment has been described by independent consultant Graham Ratcliffe as the best supply chain solution he has experienced in the sector,” said Anglia’s managing Director David Hurley. “The strategy of creating a Produce World Group solution showed considerable foresight by the deployment team. This provides Produce World with a superb business aid in a highly competitive and rapidly consolidating sector.”
