Pupils at George Farmer Technology College in Holbeach are taking part in a business education partnership with horticulture company Lingarden. Under the scheme, Lingarden executives provide personal coaching to pupils in areas ranging from improving reading skills to IT projects and work-experience placements.

'As a major local employer offering a range of rewarding career opportunities we have a genuine interest in encouraging a high level of understanding of the commercial world among local students,' said Lingarden md Nigel O'Toole.

George Farmer head, Steve Baragwanath is extremely pleased with the initiative. 'We are delighted that Lingarden has offered our college this partnership,' he said. 'Already the pupils are benefiting from some brilliant opportunities to make links with the world of work and experiences are being offered that enrich the curriculum.' .
