Spalding-based Lingarden has appointed Les Bennett as its new business development manager responsible for building new accounts with UK supermarkets for cut flowers, houseplants and garden plants.
Bennett was previously a commercial manager and introduced e-commerce and traceability systems to the UK for meat and livestock division of French-owned Agro-Marché.
Martin Brown, managing director for Lingarden flowers and plants, said: “Les will fulfil a central role in our business strategy to be the number suppliers to supermarkets. His experience in product development will be especially valuable.”
