PBGA puts together programme focused on industry updates and insights
The Pea and Bean Growers Association (PBGA) has announced the lineup for its biennial conference in November.
The event takes place on Thursday 7 November at the Jakemans Community Stadium, home of Boston United FC, and is promising a programme full of key industry updates and insights. A pre-conference dinner takes place at the same venue the night before.
Organisers have revealed that the conference will include an overview of the YesPeas! marketing campaign, as well as a presentation by Sam Trevey from Red Tractor, focusing on ensuring Red Tractor assessments remain effective and relevant for growers of vining peas within POs.
There will also be a talk on crop protection by Simon Conway, CEO of HCP, while Becky Howard and Chris Judge from PGRO will address emerging issues and how to tackle them.
A presentation by Lincolnshire Rural Support Network (LRSN) will look at the vital work it does for Lincolnshire’s agricultural, horticultural, and allied communities.
And a panel discussion titled “Navigating challenges and opportunities in the pea and bean industry” will be moderated by British Growers’ Jack Ward and feature perspectives from growers, a processor and a researcher.
