The first consignment of Lincolnshire produce has arrived at London’s oldest family-owned, five-star hotel The Goring ahead of the Restaurant Show at Earls Court, which will run from October 6-8. And Lincolnshire produce cascaded from a London cab on the steps of The Goring into the hands of renowned executive chef, Derek Quelch, to mark the start of the event this week.
The Goring Hotel in Belgravia will feature Lincolnshire produce on its menus throughout the week, as Select Lincolnshire displays its wares at the show for the first time.
Visitors to the show, which attracts 12,000 leading chefs, will able to see Select Lincolnshire’s stand showcasing a diverse range of produce from chicory and celeriac, cheese to chutney, sausages to smoked eel, and beef to beer.
TV chef and Select Lincolnshire ambassador Rachel Green will also be demonstrating throughout the day, using award-winning ingredients from her home county.
Select Lincolnshire is a business based marketing initiative that offers agricultural, horticultural and food chain related companies operating in the Greater Lincolnshire area, a distinct county identity that can be used across their marketing and aims to become a regular feature on Britain's supermarket shelves and on the roads of the UK.
