Lincolnshire Co-op signs up to Select brand

Regional food initiative Select Lincolnshire has secured support from leading local retailer Lincolnshire Co-op in a major coup for the marketing brand.

Lincolnshire Co-op has become the latest member of Select Lincolnshire, a brand developed to showcase Lincolnshire’s wide range of produce.

Marking the new relationship, consumers at next week’s Lincolnshire Show are being invited to check out the Select Lincolnshire stand to learn more about the joint venture.

Visitors will be able to take part in a special prize draw for £100 worth of vouchers to spend in any Lincolnshire Co-op store.

The new collaboration marks another milestone in the progression of Select Lincolnshire as a marketing initiative since its launch in 2006. The scheme is currently edging ever closer to the 100-members mark.

Jill McCarthy, project manager for Select Lincolnshire, said: “We are delighted Select Lincolnshire is able to work with the Lincolnshire Co-op. We hope to build a mutually beneficial and long-lasting relationship between our members and the popular retailer.” Chief retail Officer Jim Thomson from Lincolnshire Co-op added: “We are pleased to be able to support the Select Lincolnshire brand, and believe that the ethos of the initiative is excellent for farmers, producers and consumers alike.”
