Lidl has recalled bags of prepared mixed vegetables after they were found to contain milk, gluten, soya and celery without stating so in English on packs.
Bags of branded 750g Green Grocer’s Mexican, Gourmet and Oriental Mixed Vegetables are all included in the recall. No other Green Grocer’s brand products are known to be affected.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said: “Mexican and Gourmet Mixed Vegetables contain milk and Oriental Mixed Vegetables contains milk, gluten soya and celery which are not mentioned on the label in English.
“This means the products may be a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and/or gluten and an allergy to soya and/or celery.”
Anyone who has bought any of the listed products, and has an allergy or intolerance to the stated allergens, should not eat it and return to stores.
Lidl said it has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
