The content of each BPC workshop meeting matches key areas nominated by the industry to help delegates plan agronomy for their business and make informed commercial decisions.

The Ask-the-Expert workshops will tackle crop nutrition and potato blight. The exact content will also be determined by individual audiences so that sessions are tailor-made and all those attending have the opportunity to ask questions. Advice booths will also be made available to give delegates a chance to discuss their requirements with industry experts from the BPC, and agronomy and farm business consultants, Adas, Andersons, Bidwells and Cambridge University Farm and SAC.

'Each levy-payer was asked to vote,' said BPC agronomist Rob Clayton. 'Almost 60 per cent of those who responded wanted practical advice on crop nutrition whilst 43 per cent blight was a major issue that needed tacking. One in two wanted advice on the future financial implications for their business and 47 per cent asked for the results of the BPC's latest consumer research, which all form keynote presentations.' Other issues such as irrigation and seed health will also be addressed.

The meetings will take place at Telford on February 7, Peterborough on February 11, Inverurie on February 13 and York on February 25. They are free to levy-payers and run from 1-5pm. To book a place register with the BPC on 01865 782261.
