Preparations are now well underway for the second British Leafy Salads Conference on November 10, 2004, being held at the Peterborough Suite at the East of England Showground, Peterborough. The Conference Dinner is being held on the previous evening at Haycock Hotel, Wansford, Peterborough.

The conference is being organised by the British Leafy Salads Association Ltd, which represents all leafy salad growers, both outdoor and glasshouse, across the country.

A broad range of speakers from around the world have now been confirmed, including experts from Australia and Europe. We are also extremely happy to welcome Prof Hugh Pennington, who was unfortunately unable to speak at the last minute at our 2002 conference.

The topic for this year is “INNOVATION” and for the first time the programme is to include a cookery demonstration by a Master Chef of Great Britain who has developed a range of recipes especially for the conference.

Delegates will range from growers and marketing specialists to technical personnel and produce buyers. Invitations and programmes will be circulated by email and post. There is limited space available for trade stands.
