Kent-based labels and packaging company, Leading Edge Labels, has opened a new site in Peterborough to be closer to some of its leading customers. Leading Edge has invested £3,000,000 in the new Orton Southgate site, which exceeds 19,000 sq ft.
The new site will create more than 20 jobs and provide state-of-the art facilities, including an in-house design studio and high-tech computer-to-plate technology.
Ian Barwick, joint md of Leading Edge, said the company is hoping to replicate the success of its Gravesend site in the vicinity of Lincolnshire-based customers such as Worldwide Fruit and Lingarden.
"We also identified Peterborough as an area for potential growth, with good transport links and a good working population," he added.
