Lasting Leaf puts British to the fore

The Lasting Leaf bagged salad brand is backing Team GB this month by rolling out Union Jack-branded packaging and all-British salad leaves in four out of five variants in its new range.

The rollout began this week on Crispy Crunchy (iceberg, frisee and radicchio), Sweet & Crunchy (iceberg, romaine, red cabbage and carrot), Green Leaf (iceberg and romaine) and Iceberg. The leaves are British-grown by UK suppliers, and the range is available in Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Waitrose and Ocado.

An on-pack promotion sees consumers given a four-week period to win weekend breaks via the brand’s Facebook page, while pos material has been created to draw attention to the promotion in store.

“We’re really pleased with our new Lasting Leaf packaging and believe it has helped to raise awareness,” said marketing manager Melanie Dean. “But we want to build on this success, drive brand loyalty and thank our customers for continuing to repeat purchase our products.”
