Food from Britain is making a a last call for entrants to this year’s Export Awards. With just weeks to go until the October 7 entry deadline, interest has already been at a record high with companies both big and small looking to battle it out for this year’s top industry honours.

Now in their ninth year, the Food from Britain Export Awards are set up to recognise the outstanding achievements of UK food and drink companies exporting overseas. This year sees the introduction of two new categories - ‘Private Label Exporter of the Year’ and the ‘Image of Britain’ awards

“We are hoping to have a record level of entries to this year’s awards, and judging by the interest we have received so far on our website, we are on course to achieve this,” said Simon Waring, FFB’s Marketing and International Management Director. “As the market for British food and drink around the world continues to grow, many of our exporters are taking advantage of these improving conditions and achieving some fantastic business results.”

He added: “We want to applaud these successes and the Export Awards enable the industry to truly recognise those that have excelled in their field.”

Entry to the Food from Britain Export Awards is free and can be completed on-line at www.foodfrombritain.com/awards. The winners will be announced on December 14 at London’s Savoy Hotel, following FFB’s Annual Network Forum.
