Land-based industries sector-skills council Lantra is carrying out the biggest review of skills needs and learning provision in horticulture ever.

The review is part of the new sector skills agreement of which Lantra is a part and which was endorsed by a government white paper published last month. The agreements are being developed by sector-skills councils in partnership with employers, unions, trade organisations, colleges and universities, funding bodies and qualifications authorities.

Lantra is licensed by the UK government to drive forward a new agenda in skills-training and business development for 17 land-based industries including horticulture, floristry and agricultural crops.
