Lantra, the sector skills council, is looking to appoint three individuals to the Board of Trustees as non-Executive Directors.

Lantra's Board is responsible for some 400,000 businesses across the UK through skills development.

The existing Board of Trustees of ten voluntary members is seeking three

individuals with leadership and people management skills, business management experience and the ability to provide independent and objective advice.

The chairman of Lantra, Dr Gordon McGlone, believes that these roles are

central to the success of the organisation: "The recently published report from Lord Leitch into the Review of Skills until 2020 highlighted the central importance of the sectoral approach,” he said.

As a member of the Board of Trustees, individuals can offer support to environmental and land-based businesses and contribute to the success of the UK in line with Lord Leitch's recommendations.
