Suffolk-based crop protection company Koppert UK has appointed Dr Jonathan Bull as a consultant to help develop the firm’s product portfolio across the South East and the Lea Valley.
Bull, who joined Koppert at the beginning of August, previously worked as a field biologist in South East England for Cannon Hygiene and for genomics service provider Genewiz as a technical sales specialist.
He has a PhD in Genetics and Entomology from the University of Nottingham and is trained in pest control, having managed a team of 25 technicians as a field biologist.
“Jonathan Bull has a proven knowledge of integrated pest management, agricultural pests and bioassays,” Koppert UK wrote in a press release.
Commenting on the appointment, the company’s general manager David Foster added: “We are delighted Jonathan Bull has joined us. He has much to offer and will further strengthen our technical support for growers in the south of England”.
Koppert UK, the British branch of Dutch firm Koppert Biological Systems, is the largest supplier of biological pest controls in the UK.
Its business strategy is based on the belief that pest control, pollination and crop health are best achieved without the use of artificial chemicals.
