Tesco supplier The Kent Potato Company is to begin delivery of its new season new potatoes next week.
The line will be available in Tesco stores across Kent in 2.5kg and 1kg Baby New packs and hail the start of the summer new potato season.
Tesco has been working with The Kent Potato Company since 1998 and are strong supporters of Kent’s local sourcing policy.

We grow, nurture, pack and deliver all of our potatoes in Kent and are proud to support local farmers across our great county. Local sourcing and distribution is what we are all about. We also have incredible support from Tesco store staff who tell us that their customers are always asking after our products.”
The company, which was formed in 1961 by a group of growers, has developed to become one of the main suppliers of produce to the multiples.
The Kent Potato Company have 17 farms producing potatoes that are both packed and sold in Kent, cutting out the need for a central distribution centre.
