North West wholesaler Keith Roberts died last Thursday, aged 73.

Keith worked in the fresh produce business for more than 30 years. He started his career at Saphir Produce Ltd in Liverpool before joining George Bates Ltd in Knowsley in the 1980s, where he became a director.

In 1993, he joined Alfred Price & Sons Ltd, were he worked for nine years before his retirement in December 2002.

Phil McCaughrean of Alfred Price & Sons said: “Keith was a true gentleman and will be sorely missed by all of his family, friends and work colleagues.” He leaves behind his wife Val, son Andrew, daughter Jane and grandchildren Megan and Alex.
