A Shropshire supplier has split from its Kent office with a rebranded company emanating from the deal.

Jupiter Marketing Ltd has sold its stake in its satellite office - Jupiter European Marketing in Kent - to fellow directors Tony Butler, Eddie Flemming and Ben Butler.

The Kent firm has been rebranded and is now known as JEM Imports Ltd and operates as a standalone entity.

The sale of the shares took effect last week and “despite the continuation of the name in tenuous terms”, JEM will have no connection with Jupiter Marketing in future.

Mark Tweddle, md of Jupiter Marketing, told FPJ: “We want to focus on growing our business through our international strategy and would rather spend our resources on that.

“We are pleased with the sale of our share to the guys who have had a successful 18 months trading and we wish them well with their business. We are looking forward now to focussing on our longer term plans for Jupiter Marketing Ltd and concentrating our efforts on growing and developing our core business.”

Tweddle said the business, which recorded a turnover of £46 million in the year to September 2010 and has 54 full time staff, is developing links globally.

“Our goal for this year is to continue to sustain growth - we are not bullish in what we are doing but we do have a healthy ambition,” he added.
