Foods from Spain has launched an advertising campaign to promote Spanish oranges in the UK.
The campaign created by Bray Leino Bristol includes three press pieces and a radio advert and highlights the heavy nature of Spanish citrus caused by its high juice content.
The first advert shows a single orange causing a pick-up truck to become unnaturally lopsided; in the second, a workman is seen using a sack truck to move just one ripe fruit, while the third shows an orange on the corner of a table which has caused the floor tiles underneath to crack.
Bray Leino Bristol’s head of creativity, Morgan Cummins, said: “Shortly after the client briefed us on this project it became very clear to us that the juiciness of Spanish oranges was something that set them apart from all others.
“By depicting Spanish oranges as being extraordinarily heavy because of their high juice content, we’ve created an entertaining campaign idea that we think communicates that message in the most engaging way possible.”
The press ads are due to run in a wide range of consumer publications while the radio piece will be run on Classic FM.
The Spanish Oranges campaign follows Bray Leino’s recent work for Spanish clementines, the Nature’s Sweets campaign, which aired at the end of last year.
