More than 90 per cent of UK consumers bought juices last year, spending an average of £37 a year on them, according to an industry report.
Mango and pineapple varieties have gained market share, with newer Pomegranate-based drinks proving increasingly popular.
Sainsbury’s has reported similar findings.
The supermarket’s juice buyer Mike Luck said pineapple juice had been a particular winner, with sales growing by 61 per cent over the last year and now accounting for 5.9 per cent of the category.
Apple, a long-standing favourite has grown by 30 per cent and now represents 11.4 per cent of juice sales.
Meanwhile, pomegranate juice sales have rocketed this year, driven by the Pomegreat 100 and Sparky brands, in particular, Luck said.
