John Swain, for 33 years a valued colleague and confidant of Alick Glass at Glass Glover andAssociates, died at Berkshire General Hospital on March 26, aged 61.
Universally respected for his considerable knowledge of the apple business in particular, John will be sadly missed by his many fruit tradecontemporaries, his colleagues, his wife Kate, sons Andrew andSimon, his grandchildren, family and friends.
