Jaffa is celebrating reaching a milestone 10,000th child to have taken part in the Jaffa Juniors tour.
The citrus brand has been working in conjunction with the Tesco EatHappy Project visiting schools across the UK since April 2015, delivering an educational programme that teaches where citrus comes from, how itis grown, and the nutritional benefits of citrus.
The milestone was reached during a trip toSt Brigid’s Primary School in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire.
Lorna Staff, of Jaffa, said: 'We are delighted that our Jaffa Juniors tour has reached so many childrenalready. Our tour builds on our belief of educating children from a young age,where their food comes from and all the benefits of healthy eating.
'The tourcreates a fun and informal environment for the children to learn, whichcontributes greatly to its popularity with both teachers and pupils.'
The tourʼs activities are focused towards Key Stages 1 and 2, and are built aroundfundamental aspects of the national curriculum, ensuring that children aregaining the knowledge needed to reach targets in the classroom while havingfun.
The Jaffa Juniors tour is set to continue throughout the rest of the year.
