Ortofruit Italia is hoping for success with the launch of two new berry products.
Delizie del bosco (Forrest Delights) is a mixture of berries, which includes blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and currants.
The fruit and vegetable supplier, from Piedmont, is also introducing a very late, sweet variety of strawberries. Grown in the hills of Cuneo at 500 to 800 metres above sea level, they are available after the normal season ends.
The strawberries have been available in the UK since spring, and Ortofruit said the product has received a good level of interest from in the UK market.
